Around 40% of drivers admit to texting while driving

A recent poll revealed that more than four out of 10 drivers admitted to doing work-related things on their phones while driving despite the dangers of distracted driving. In fact, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, distracted driving claimed 3,470 lives in 2015.  The NHTSA defines distracted driving as “any activity that diverts attention from driving, including talking or texting on your phone, eating and drinking, talking to people in your vehicle, fiddling with the stereo, entertainment, or navigation system.
